looking forward to the fall. . .

We have had some beautiful days on the ocean this week. The fishing has been a little bit on the slowish side but we have managed to work real hard and come up with some exitement and some good table fare this week. There is loads and loads of bait fish out on our fishing grounds and several of the fish we have caught have been full of big squid, cigar minnows and other small morsels. Its a fish eat fish world and right now they are out there fattening up sensing that the change of seasons is not far off.
We caught some white marlin and wahoo earlier this week and some nice size school dolphin each day. We caught a whopper wahoo and about thirty school dolphins on Friday. On Saturday we caught 42 nice dolphins and enjoyed a beautiful day in the ocean.
The marlin fishing had been pretty good earlier this week but slowed the last couple of days. They are in the area but just aren't biting too good. Their bellies might be full of all the bait that is available to them. Most of the captains in the area agree that it should heat up again as the moon continues to wax towards full in the next two weeks.
Here's a nice catch of dolphins. Check back tomorrow for marlin pictures and and shot of our big wahoo. Also keep looking here for the latest fishing reports. September is filling up. We have some days left, book a day and let's go fishing.
