striper fishing good, when the weather permits. . .
We've only fished a handful of days so far this winter for the striped bass(stripers, rockfish). We also got offshore twice chasing yellowfin and bluefin tuna. The fishing has been good but for the stripers it has been much like last year. The bigest body of fish have been staying well north of Oregon Inlet. It has not been possible to reach the fish on a half day charter like we have in years before. But a full day of striper fishing can pay off big when you are lucky enough to catch your limit of two fish per person--we carry up to six persons per charter. Many of the fish have been big- in the 30-45 lb class.
