July flew by ! !

Hard to believe its almost August. July has been great. We took lots of super nice folks fishing, enjoyed some awesome days at sea and caught some great fish. One of our favorite things about summer is seeing some of the people who fish with us year after year while they are vacationing on the Outer Banks. To all the families that we take fishing in the summer, thank you. We truly enjoy having you on board.

July held more big yellowfins this year than some, especially earlier in the month. We did not catch as many Big eye tuna this summer as we did last year but we did catch some. What an awesome and beautiful fish. The dolphin fishing has been great. We also enjoyed some wahoo action and a few billfish. The one thing we had quite a bit of this month was thunder and rain squalls and lightning. We are glad to see the weather changing. For about two weeks it was in a pattern that brought us afternoon squalls that we dreaded.

The tropics are really quiet so far this summer. All of us are happy about that. The fishing has been good and August looks promising. Look for good action on dolphin and white marlin with tunas and other billfish sprinkled in the mix.

We've got days open in August and September. The prime days for tuna later in the fall are booking up fast. October and November, on the darker part of the moon. . . can you say sushi?

Plan you next offshore day now.
