We were one of three boats booked today with the same group of guys. What an awesome day and a good time that they had!!!! Beautiful weather and great fishing - what more could you want as we always say.........

We could not get all the baits in the water before the lines were hooked up with Gaffer Dolphin and grabbing at every ballyhoo they could find. A Blue Marlin came to check us out about lunch time but was not hungry enough to take the bait - we were definitely looking for him!!! The water was fabulous, that fishing was great with all three boats getting a great catch of fish.

Get in on the ACTION - call Capt. Dave to book your trip - there are not many days left....

Steve Good and party with John Deere had a unbelievable day out of Oregon Inlet. The fishing was great - with everything you could want - Big Gaffer Dolphin, Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo and a 400lb Blue Marlin. It was very exciting and all the action kept us on our toes throughout the day.

It is amazing what a day makes - we had Keith Reinkin and his group. We couldn't have asked for better weather. We had a good day of Gaffer Dolphin and a 100lb Mako Shark, because of a little dilemma we returned to the dock as the fleet were just starting to get a few Tuna bites. Tomorrow is looking good!!!!

We did fish yesterday, but we did not take any photos - the ocean was definitely "snatchy" and was from the moment we left the dock until we got back to the dock. Fishing was a little slow mostly because of the weather which prevented a lot of scouting around. Jeremy had his son, Tyler and a his friend - they all did really well enduring the rough seas......

What a wonderful day out with Jim Rhoads and his family - three generations of Rhoads. It was a beautiful day out there today, with all the gaffer Dolphin keeping us steadily busy all day. We fished well below the point close to a change where the water went from 74 to 78.5 degrees, beautiful blue Gulf Stream water.

Craig Zeigler and co.... it was Belinda's first time out on the High Return and is now "hooked". It was a beautiful day out on the Atlantic today, the Gulf Stream has rolled over and moved around which meant that the fishing today was not as bountiful as it has been recently but it was still good. We fished in a pocket of 77.5 degree water and saw a lot of marine life including, two-tone porpoises, manna-rays flipping, pilot whales and probably a Mako shark that took one of the baits.

There are lots of people on the beach, at the dock and wanting to get in on some of the action - call Capt. Dave to book your trip.....

The fishing has been GREAT!!! All the Gaffer Dolphin you could want with some scattered Yellow-fin Tuna.......... The summer days are booking up. so call Capt. Dave to book your trip......

There was a lot of marine life for us to see today from Porpoises to large Turtles. We had Eugene Graeff with his friends - it was nice to see him again this year for another great day of fishing.

Allen Cage and his group had a great day with some really Big Gaffer Dolphin to bring to the boat...... they are always so much fun to reel in. They had another group that went out on one of the other boats in the fleet.

Another group of guys that have been fishing with us year after year, Claud Ipock and his group had a wonderful day with the Dolphin, Yellow-fin Tuna and King Makeral. It is always wonderful to see and catch up with people.

We have a few scattered days open in the upcoming month - the Gulf Stream is rock'n you better come knock'n on the High Return's door...... If you don't believe me, just look at the pictures and you decide.

Nor'easter slams Outer Banks

We a had a great day out fishing Sunday with Brent & Woody from up in Lexingington, KY. We caught a gracious load of big Gaffers and headed for the dock a little early as a big cold front was approaching. Sunday night the wind shifted and breezed up to 30 kts sustained with higher gusts. It's lunchtime on Monday and it looks like its going to blow for another day or more. We'll be eager to get back out as soon as the sea is fit again. Look for great fishing later this week. . . Think about booking a day offshore with us this summer, We'd love to spend a day chasing fish in the gulf stream with you.

FISH HIGH RETURN

Saturday, May 16, 2009

Rockin' Saturday! The fishing was great today. A bigger class of tunas than we've had yet this spring and plenty of big dolphin action. Good, good fishing. Call Capt Dave today.
Fish High Return

Fishing this week was great! We caught a big wahoo, got whammed by yellowfin in the 20-40 pound range, and had great big gaffer dolphin fishing. The weather was a little challenging as it can be in the early summer, but persistence paid off big on the days we got out. Check out some pics. . .
Mario and his crew were in the meat, with dolphin and tuna action.

That's Gerald of The Autumn Corporation with some of the boys from up Nash County way, including Sen A.B. Swindell. We had a great day out on the water and Gerald caught a super wahoo.

We expect the fishing to continue to be great, its that time of year. . .

If you are thinking about it, don't wait! Our prime days in May and June are almost all booked up! ! !

We had Scott Haven and his group out with us today. It was a business trip, they had a wonderful experience with a "head to" ride this morning but it ended up being a wonderful weather day. Fishing was great for the fleet, the Gulf Stream was on the move shoving in and changing around, but everybody caught fish. Big gaffer Dolphin were on the menu for today - what a fun fish to reel in. There were some scattered Tuna that got caught also.
The weather might get us for tomorrow - wait and see.

The fishing is great and we have a couple of days still open toward the end of May - just in time for Memorial Day week!!!! Call Capt. Dave to book your trip and catch your fish.
