Gaffers, Big Yellow fin Tuna, Big Eye Tuna

What can I say, the fishing this week was good! There was a bit of everything. This spring the Gulf Stream has established itself right were we like to see it. The current is running along generally parallel with the continental shelf and the lively bit of the ocean where the warm water and cooler waters meet has been close to the ledge on the bottom. This provides grounds for bait and predators to rendez-vous--great fishing conditions!!

More fish pic's to follow . . . WE HAVE A COUPLE OF DAYS OPEN THE WEEK BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY ! FISHING SHOULD BE GREAT !! CALL CAPT DAVE TO BOOK A DAY ON ONE OF OREGON INLET'S FINEST SPORTFISHERS.

BIG GAFFER DOLPHINS , BLUE MARLINS, AND A GOOD SIGN OF TUNAS ! ! !

The fishing action has really been heating up the past few days. Several boats have encountered blue marlins, a lucky few have released two in a day. Nice size dolphins (aka Mahi-mahi) and yellow fin tuna are also showing up in increasing numbers. This time of year as the gulf stream pushes more and more warm water and sea life into our area the fishing can be both unpredictable and exiting. You never know what the next bite may be.
