Tuna fishing is great!! Come on down. . .
Here's our crew and our catch from Wednesday. We were a little bit worried about the weather forecast in the morning but the weatherman was wrong again and we had a beautiful day on the water. The fish started biting before we could get all the baits in the water and we stayed with them for a couple of hours in the morning, picking away at doubles and multiples. The sizes are mixed up-- the larger ones being 35 pounders.
The spring is shaping up good. Perhaps this will be one of the years when we have great tuna and big gaffer dolphin fishing through April and May. We fished 70-72.5 degree water today. Other boats encountered a few bluefins and there were some wahoo bites.

You never know until you go!! Call Capt. Dave or the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and book your trip today.

Tuna ! ! ! Tuna ! ! ! Tuna ! ! !

Plenty of Tuna Action ! ! !

We had great day of fishing this past Friday and Saturday! The picture is of two yellowfin tuna that tipped the scales over 80 pounds we caught Friday. We also released 40 to 60 pound bluefins until our arms were sore. Saturday we caught more yellowfins but not the big trophy size ones. Saturday's fish provided great action and plenty to have some on the grill and put some in the freezer.
Bob and his crew had a great day of fishing Saturday. Not only was there plenty of fishing action but we saw incredible marine life--False killer whales, Acres of two toned dolphins, and a few larger whales. They carried memories that will last a long time home to New York as well as a cooler full of fresh tuna!!
We tried to fish on Sunday but the weather beat us out. We will be out again on Wednesday so check us out. We'd love to take you out on the High Return this spring. Call Capt. Dave and book your day now, we are filling up on prime days.
We are also still available for a couple of the big tournaments in the Mid Atlantic this summer. If you want to rolll the dice with a proven winner, give us a call.

The Big Splash!
The High Return Sportfishing team is pleased to announce that we have launched the boat for the season and are ready to roll! Boats have already started fishing out of Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. Catches of nice sized yellowfin and releases of schoolie size bluefin have been reported. Remember this time last spring when we encountered large bluefin tuna and released a pair in the 300 lb plus class? You never know what might bite next. . .
We are slated to go fishing this weekend and the early spring weather looks great. Get your crew together and come down to the Outer Banks for the weekend. Let's go fishing !
