Striper madness. . .

Well, we have yet to see the big push of stripers we are looking for but that only means they are still coming. Much like old man winter the rockfish blitz seems a little later than usual this year. We have had a few days of good fishing featuring some nice sized fish but we haven't had the bang up days of catching our limit quickly yet. The fish seem to be holding north of us in colder water right now but as the water cools down into January we expect to see the fishing improve. Check out this nice rock that went 40 lbs. We caught these right before Christmas. Come down for a long weekend and try your luck. By the way the tunas are still biting. Because of the weather picking a good day can be tricky but call Capt. Dave and he can look at the extended forecast and help you get out for a nice day of winter gulfstream fishing.

Striper Fever

The anticipation is really building as the Stripers assault on the beaches of the Outer Banks draws closer. They have made a few appearences but the main body of fish has still not shown up. We are hearing great reports from the north about the numbers of fish that are headed our way. A couple of boats got into the fish two days ago. We will be going after them this weekend. Last year the week between Christmas and New Years was epic, perhaps this year will be the same. Book now for your chance to load up on these big bruisers. January should be great. Keep checking our website for the latest reports. We'll post this weekend's catch as quick as we can.
