The weather is good and the fishing is great! ! !
After a couple of weeks of tough weather due to the Ernesto and then the residual swell from Florence the seas are calming and the the fish are cooperating. The days that boats have fished the past week have yielded excellent catches of yellowfin tuna. They are here and typically hold here as the fall progresses.
If you've never caught tuna off the outer banks in the fall bite you should come check us out. Action can be fast and furious. We typically troll 8-12 lines in the water and multiple hookups are more the rule than the exception. The surface bites are ferocious and the battles can be epic. Come down this fall and let us hook you up with a great day of fishing.
Call Capt Dave and pick out a date you're sure to get a High Return on your fishing adventure.

TUNA! ! ! TUNA! ! ! TUNA!!!! !!! !!!

The Tribes are ready to Harvest the bounty of the seas and hopefully stock up on the succulent steaks of their favorite Gamefish, The Yellowfin Tuna!

Some of our best Tuna fishing is going on right now and should continue into the fall. Last week everyday brought good catches of 25 to 50lb yellowfin tuna as well as the odd blackfin and wahoo mixed in. Some years we get king mackerel mixed in as well as as occaisional wayward sailfish or bigeye tuna. You just never know. . .

Come on and go fishing on the High Return, We'll show you a great day and try to hook you up with a fish story or two.

Fall means TUNA

We had a couple of great days this week. Monday we had a mixed bag of yellowfin tuna, blackfin tuna and school dolphins, check out this picture.

We also had a couple of days off this week. On our days off the boats who did fish had increasingly good catches of yellowfins. And big ones too. We capped the week off with an awesome Saturday offshore. The weather has been great. Cool nights on the Outer Banks. . . perfect for Grilling Tuna! ! !

Several of the yellowfin tuna we caught Saturday were in the 35 to 50lb class.

Call Capt Dave or the Oregon Inlet Fishing Center up and book your day. October weekends are going fast. Hey how about Tuna Steaks on your Thanksgiving Dinner table??
