Check out these fish we've been catching. . .

This was a really nice white marlin, Brian would have loved to catch him in the upcoming White Marlin Open in Ocean City, Md. But he was still stoked to catch such a trophy on a beautiful day of fishing.

Steve was happy with his big bull Dolphin. The summer run of dolphin or mahi-mahi as our more cultured friends call them provide acrobatic battles and great table fare. August should provide plenty of action for anglers looking for mixed bags of fish including White marlin, Blue Marlin, Sailfish as well dolphin, wahoo and a few tuna.
Look us up if you are on the Outer Banks and want a great day on the water.
And remember the tuna fishing should be heating up as the water and weather cool off. Weekends in October are booking up fast so get your crew together and pick a date. We'd love to take you fishing!

Late Summer fishing report

The fishing has been great all summer. We had good fishing for big yellow fin tuna through June and had some incredible big eye tuna catches in June and July. The dolphin fishing has been good when the conditions were right. If you know dolphin fishing you know to expect the unexpected. July is ending on an exiting note. The wahoo have started to show up and the fleet has had some incredible marlin action over the past two weeks. Though tuna action has been a bit slow the past day or two they still make a showing as the cooler eddies blend with life rich Gulf Stream water. Just last week we had a blue marlin flash past a teaser and crash a bait. As he ripped off line big eye tuna started to hit the baits on the opposite side of the boat. The marlin started to jump and threw the hook but the tunas weren’t so lucky. We boated three in the 90lb to 120lb class. Now that’s action. Fishing on the High Return in the waters offshore of the Outer Banks--a High Return on your investment in a great day of sport fishing.
Late July Update!!!!
As we move into August the Marlin action is really picking up. The fleet has caught several grand slams in the past week. The action has been great but is still to the south of were we often have great white marlin fishing in August. There is lots of bait gathering on the ledge. When the current brings the marlin and the bait together we expect a great bite. There is much anticipation about the upcoming August Full Moon. Historically it is a great time to catch and release double digits of White Marlin and expect to see the largest Blue Marlins of the season.
Speaking of Blue Marlin . . . our congratulations go out to the crews and anglers of both the Full Draw and the Dream Girl who each caught and released three Blue Marlin in a single day this week.
The action at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center is really heating up. Come on down and see us. Let’s go fishing.
